Cheesy Smashed Potatoes

Do try this recipe!!! These cheesy smashed potatoes are extremely easy to make and only need a few ingredients.

Ingredients:

  1. Baby Potatoes – 10
  2. Italian Seasoning as needed
  3. Ground Pepper as needed
  4. Red Chilli Flakes as needed
  5. Shredded Mozzarella Cheese as needed
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Water to boil the potatoes.

How to make Cheesy Smashed Potatoes:

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 450 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Keep aside
  2. Thoroughly wash the baby potatoes. Add them to a saucepan along with salt and water, cook until easily pierced with a fork. Don’t over do it
  3. Drain and let them cool for 5-10 mins, until they can be handled safely. Use a potato masher or your hand to carefully press them down until they’re about 1/2 inch thick
  4. Take the prepared baking sheet and add a tbsp of shredded mozzarella cheese, place the smashed potato on top of it. Now sprinkle some Italian seasoning, red chilli flakes, ground pepper and salt. Add another tbsp of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of it. Similarly do the rest
  5. Bake for 11-12 mins or until the top is brown and crisp
  6. Your Cheesy Smashed Potatoes are ready, enjoy with your favourite dip!
