Hummus

An easy and delicious recipe for Hummus. Relish it with chips or veggies and enjoy it in a salad. 

Also try: Yogurt Sauce, Pesto Sauce or Tzatziki Sauce.

Time: Preparation – 10 mins, Total – 10 mins.

Servings: makes 2 cups 

Ingredients:

  1. Boiled Chickpea – 2 cups (drained well)
  2. Tahini – 1/3 cup
  3. Garlic – 1-2 cloves
  4. Lemon Juice – 2 tbsp
  5. Extra Virgin Olive Oil – 2tbsp
  6. Paprika, Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves to garnish
  7. Water as needed to blend
  8. Salt to taste.

How to make Falafel:

  1. Take a blender, add tahini and garlic along with 4 tbsp of water. Blend until smooth
  2. Add boiled chickpeas and blend until coarse
  3. Add lemon juice, extra virgin olive oil and salt. Blend until you get smooth hummus. Add water as needed to blend, only add 1-2 tbsp at a time
  4. Your Hummus is ready. Garnish with some paprika, extra virgin olive oil and finely chopped coriander leaves
  5. Enjoy with chips, veggies or pita bread, or relish in a salad.
