Ingredients:
- Paneer – 300 grams (cut into cubes)
- Yogurt – 1/3 cup
- Cashew – 1/4 cup (soak in warm water for 10 mins)
- Bell Pepper – 1 cup (cut into cubes)
- Onion – 1 small-medium (cut into cubes)
- Ginger – 1 inch (grated)
- Poppy Seeds – 1 tsp
- Bay Leaf – 1
- Coriander Seeds – 1tsp
- Cumin Seeds – 1tsp
- Fennel Seeds – 1 tsp
- Cinnamon Stick – 1/2
- Dried Red Chilli – 2
- Green Cardamom – 2
- Black Cardamom – 1
- Black Peppercorns – 1/2 tsp
- Ghee – 1 tbsp
- Water – 1/2 cup
PS: 1 Cup = 250 ML.
How to make Yakhani Paneer:
- Keep 4 cubes of paneer aside and transfer the rest to the basket of the air fryer. Cook on 400 F for 8-10 mins or until golden and crisp. Shake the basket every 3 mins, keep aside
- Heat a pan and add cumin seeds, fennel seeds, coriander seeds, cinnamon stick, dried red chilli, green cardamom, black cardamom and black peppercorns. Roast until fragrant, turn off the flame and let it cool down. Now grind them to make a powder and keep aside
- Now add soaked cashews, poppy seeds, 4 cubes of paneer and yogurt. Blend to make a smooth paste, keep aside
- Heat ghee in a pan. Add bay leaf, saute
- Add grated ginger and saute until fragrant
- Add onions and bell pepper. Cook until soft
- Add prepared paste and cook for 2-3 mins
- Add water as needed to have desired consistency and bring to a boil
- Add prepared masala powder along with paneer and salt. Cook for 3-4 mins.
- Your Yakhani Paneer is ready, enjoy with your favourite bread!
