Recently tried Paneer Tikka Masala in Dhaba Style and it turned out so good, relished it with some parathas. It’s an easy recipe with so much flavours!

Ingredients:
For Paneer Tikka:
- Paneer (Indian cottage cheese) – 300 grams (cut into 1 inch cubes)
- Hung Curd (or Plain Greek Yogurt) – 1/4 cup
- Gram Flour – 1 tbsp
- Onion – 1 medium (cut into around 1 inch cubes)
- Capsicum or Bell Pepper – 1 cup (cut into around 1 inch cubes)
- Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tbsp
- Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
- Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
- Cumin Powder – 1 tsp
- Dry Mango Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Chaat Masala Powder – 1 tsp
- Black Salt – 1/4 tsp
- Kasuri Methi (Dried Fenugreek Leaves) – 1 tsp
- Lemon Juice – 1 tbsp
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Ghee – 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste.
For Gravy:
- Onion – 1 large (finely chopped)
- Tomato – 2 large (finely chopped)
- Green Chilli – 3-4 (slit)
- Garlic – 2 cloves (finely chopped)
- Ginger – 1 inch (finely chopped)
- Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
- Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
- Coriander Powder – 2 tsp
- Garam Masala Powder – 1 tsp
- Kasuri Methi (Dried Fenugreek Leaves ) – 2 tsp
- Ghee or Oil – 2 tbsp
- Water – 1 cup or as needed
- Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves to garnish
- Salt to taste.
PS: 1 Cup = 250 ML.
How to make Paneer Tikka Masala in Dhaba Style:
- To prepare paneer tikka, take a mixing bowl and add curd or yogurt, oil, ginger-garlic paste, gram flour, kashmiri red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, dry mango powder, chaat masala powder, black salt, kasuri methi, lemon juice and salt. Mix well
- Add paneer, onion and capsicum. Gently mix until coated well in the marinade. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for up to 2 hours
- Heat a pan and add ghee. Once hot add marinated paneer and veggies. Cook until golden brown. Your Paneer Tikka is ready, keep aside
- Now for gravy, heat ghee in a pan or a kadai. Add cumin seeds and let it splutter
- Add onion, ginger and garlic. Saute until light golden brown
- Add kashmiri red chilli powder, coriander powder and 1 tsp kasuri methi. Saute for a few seconds
- Add tomatoes and cook until ghee starts to separate
- Add water, salt and green chillies. Mix and bring it to a boil
- Add cooked paneer tikka and mix
- Add garam masala powder and 1 tsp kasuri methi. Mix and cook for 3-4 mins, you’ll notice ghee oozing out
- Add coriander leaves and mix well. Your Paneer Tikka Masala in Dhaba Style is ready, enjoy with paratha, naan or tandoori roti.
