Healthy uttapam recipe! You’ll need moong dal, oats and some veggies to make these yummy uttapams, relish with some green chutney.

Servings: makes 4-5 uttapams
Ingredients:
- Moong Dal (Split Mung Bean) – 1/2 cup (soaked for 4 hours)
- Ground Oats – 1/2 cup
- Asafoetida – a pinch
- Water – 3/4 to 1 cup
- Salt to taste
- For Topping:
- Sliced Onion
- Finely Chopped Capsicum
- Grated Carrot
- Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves

PS: 1 Cup = 250 ML.
How to make Moong Dal Oats Uttapam:
- Thoroughly rinse the soaked dal and discard the water. Add it to a grinding jar along with 1/4 cup of water, grind to make a fine paste
- Transfer it to mixing bowl. Add ground oats, salt and asafoetida. Mix well, add 1/2 cup water or as needed to make a medium consistency batter. Keep aside for 15-20 mins
- Heat a pan or tawa and spread a few drops of oil, pour a ladle full of batter in the centre and spread out to form a circle
- Sprinkle the veggies and press very lightly so that they stick to the batter
- Cook on a medium flame until golden brown, pour a few drops of oil and flip. Similarly do the other side
- Your Moong Dal Oats Uttapam is ready! Enjoy with some chutney.
