Ingredients:
- Gajar Halwa – 3 cups or as needed, follow the recipe here
- Chilled Heavy Whipping Cream – 1 cup
- Powdered Sugar – 2 tbsp
- Cardamom Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Saffron Threads – 10
- Warm Milk – 1 tbsp
- Agar Agar Powder – 1 tsp (optional, for more stabilised mousse)
- Crushed Rose Petals for granishing.
PS: 1 Cup = 250 ML.
How to make Gajar Halwa with Kesar Mousse:
- In a small bowl dissolve saffron threads in warm milk, keep aside
- Take a mixing bowl and add cream. Using a hand-mixer or wired whisk, whip until it thickens slightly
- Add powdered sugar, agar agar powder, cardamom powder and saffron milk
- Continue whipping until you get a stiff peak. Your Kesar Mousse is ready
- Take a dessert cup and make a layer of Gajar Halwa, top it with some whipped Kesar Mousse and finally sprinkle some Crushed Rose Petals. Your Gajar Halwa with Kesar Mousse is ready!
- You can refrigerate it if needed, take it out of the refrigerator 15-20 mins before serving.
