Buttermilk or Chaas is a summer drink. Have it with lunch or enjoy it as a post lunch drink. It helps in preventing bloating. To prepare it you’ll need plain yogurt, roasted cumin powder and salt. You can also add dried mint leaves to it.

Servings: 2


  1. Curd (Dahi or Plain Yogurt) – 1/2 cup
  2. Roasted Cumin – 1/4 tsp
  3. Black Salt or Regular Salt as required
  4. Water – 2 cups.

PS: 1 Cup = 250 ML.

  1. Take a blender. Add curd, black salt and roasted cumin. Pulse it 2-3 times
  2. Add water and blend for a few seconds. Your Buttermilk is ready.
