Buttermilk or Chaas is a summer drink which is very common in India. It is made out of plain yogurt. It is also very good for stomach and often served with the meals.

Time: Preparation – 10 mins, Total – 10 mins

Servings: 3


  1. Curd (Dahi or Plain Yogurt) – 1 cup
  2. Black Salt – as required
  3. Roasted Cumin – 1/3 tsp
  4. Water – 2 cups

PS: 1 Cup = 250 ML

  1. Take a blender. Add curd, black salt, roasted cumin. Blend for a few seconds
  2. Now add water and again blend for a few seconds
  3. Your Buttermilk is ready
  4. Enjoy with your meals or as is.
