Paneer Naan Taco

Another easy recipe made with paneer and store-bought naans, you can of course use home-made naans for the same. Yogurt Sauce and Green Chutney combination makes the naan tacos extremely flavoursome. Hope you enjoy these Paneer Naan Tacos.

Servings: makes 4 tacos.

Ingredients:

  1. Mini Naan – 4 (store-bought)
  2. Paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese) – about 150 grams (chopped in cubes)
  3. Cucumber – 1/4 cup (chopped)
  4. Onion – 1/4 cup (chopped)
  5. Tomato – 1/4 cup (chopped)
  6. Coriander Leaves – 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
  7. Hung Curd (or Greek Yogurt) – 1 tbsp
  8. Coriander Powder – 1/2 tsp
  9. Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
  10. Cumin Powder – 1/2 tsp
  11. Dry Mango Powder – 1/4 tsp
  12. Chaat Masala Powder – 1 tsp
  13. Garam Masala Powder – 1/4 tsp
  14. Crushed Dried Fenugreek Leaves (Kasuri Methi) – 1/2 tsp
  15. Ground Black Pepper – 1/4 tsp
  16. Lemon Juice – 1 tsp
  17. Oil – 1 tsp
  18. Salt to taste
  19. Yogurt Sauce as needed, recipe here

PS: 1 Cup = 250 ML.

How to make Paneer Naan Tacos:

  1. Take a mixing bowl and add hung curd, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, kasuri methi, 1/2 tsp chaat masala powder and salt. Mix well
  2. Add paneer cubes, mix and coat well. Let it rest for 10-15 mins
  3. While paneer is marinating, take another bowl and add cucumber, onion, tomato, lemon juice, coriander leaves, 1/2 tsp chaat masala powder, ground black pepper and salt. Mix and keep aside. Your salad is ready
  4. Heat some oil on a grill pan or a pan to cook the paneer. Once the pan is hot, place the paneer cubes, cook from both the sides until golden brown and crisp. Keep aside, don’t over do it else paneer will turn rubbery
  5. Heat another pan or tawa and toast the naans
  6. Now place a naan on a flat surface, add some cooked paneer cubes, top it with some salad, yogurt sauce and green chutney. Your Paneer Naan Tacos are ready!!!
