Indian Macaroni

You may also call it as another form of pasta. It’s a very easy recipe and loved by all. When you got no mood to cook I would say this is the option you got, apart from maggi of course…lol!!!

Time: Preparation – 5 mins, Cooking – 15 mins, Total – 20 mins

Servings: 2


  1. Macaroni Pasta – 1 cup
  2. Onion – 1 medium (finely chopped)
  3. Tomatoes – 2 medium (finely chopped)
  4. Capsicum – 1/2 (finely chopped) (optional)
  5. Green Chilli – 1 (finely chopped)
  6. Coriander Leaves – 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
  7. Black Pepper – 1/2 tsp
  8. Oil – 2 tbsp
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Water – 3-4 cups (to boil pasta)

PS: 1 cup = 250 ML

How to make Indian Macaroni:

  1. Boil water in a big vessel. Add pasta and cook for 7-8 minutes. You can also cook it as per the instructions on the pack
  2. Meanwhile heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onions. Saute till golden brown
  3. Add capsicum and cook for a minute (it is optional)
  4. Add tomatoes. Cook till oil starts to separate
  5. Add black pepper and salt. Mix well
  6. Add coriander leaves. Mix well
  7. If pasta is cooked, strain it and add it to the pan. Mix well
  8. Your Indian Macaroni is ready. Serve hot!!!
