Masala Macaroni

Masala Macaroni is the Indian version of pasta. We make this delicious recipe with onions, tomatoes, bell peppers, paneer and a few spices. Paneer is optional and you can also adjust the spices as per your taste.

Servings: 3-4

Ingredients:

  1. Macaroni Pasta – 2 cups
  2. Paneer – 150 grams (chopped in small cubes)
  3. Onion – 1 large (sliced)
  4. Tomatoes – 3 small-medium (blend to a smooth paste)
  5. Capsicum – 1/2 cup (finely chopped)
  6. Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
  7. Chaat Masala Powder – 2 tsp
  8. Ground Pepper – 1 tsp
  9. Chilli Flakes – 1/2 tsp
  10. Tomato Ketchup – 2 tbsp
  11. Mayonnaise – 2 tbsp
  12. Oil – 2 tbsp
  13. Coriander Leaves for garnishing
  14. Water to boil macaroni
  15. Salt to taste.

PS: 1 cup = 250 ML.

How to make Masala Macaroni:

  1. Boil macaroni as per the instructions on the pack. Strain and keep aside
  2. While macaroni is cooking, heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let it splutter
  3. Add onions and cook until translucent
  4. Add capsicum and cook until tender
  5. Add tomatoes and cook until oil starts to separate
  6. Add paneer, ketchup, mayonnaise, chaat masala powder, ground pepper, chilli flakes and salt. Mix and cook for a min or two
  7. Add boiled macaroni and mix well
  8. Turn off the flame and add coriander leaves and mix
  9. Your Masala Macaroni is ready. Enjoy!!!
