Potato Corn Tikki

An easy and healthy tikki recipe with a few variations below. To prepare these you’ll need potato, sweet corn, ground oats and some spices. Relish with green chutney or ketchup.

Variations:

  • You can replace potato with sweet potato
  • Ground oats with bread crumbs
  • You can also pan-fry, shallow-fry or deep-fry the tikkis.

Time: Preparation – 25 mins, Cooking – 15 mins, Total – 40 mins.

Servings: makes about 15 small-medium tikkis

Ingredients:

  1. Boiled Potato – 2 medium (peeled and grated)
  2. Boiled Sweet Corn – 1 cup
  3. Ground Oats – 1/2 cup
  4. Cumin Powder – 1 tsp
  5. Chilli Flakes – 1/2 tsp
  6. Ground Black Pepper – 1/4 tsp
  7. Dry Mango Powder – 1/2 tsp
  8. Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves – 2 tbsp
  9. Oil to cook the tikkis
  10. Salt to taste.

PS: 1 Cup = 250 ML.

How to make Potato Corn Tikki:

  1. Take a grinding jar and add boiled sweet corn, grind to a coarse paste
  2. Take a mixing bowl and add sweet corn coarse paster, grated potatoes, ground oats, cumin powder, ground black pepper, dry mango powder, chilli flakes, coriander leaves and salt. Mix well and keep aside for 15 mins
  3. Now make tikkis from the mix
  4. Spray some oil in the air-fryer and place the tikkis. Cook on 400 F for about 15 mins or until golden and crisp, flip them after 8 mins
  5. Your Potato Corn Tikkis are ready. Serve hot with green chutney or ketchup. Enjoy!!!
