Aloo Chaat

Indian street food is always famous for its spicy and different varieties of the food. This recipe is very easy to make and it’s one of my favorite chaats. Hope you enjoy it.

Time: Preparation – 5 mins, Cooking – 15 mins, Total – 20 mins

Servings: 2-3


  1. Potatoes – 3 medium (cut into cubes)
  2. Coriander Leaves – 1 tbsp
  3. Chat Masala powder – 1/2 tsp
  4. Lemon Juice – 1 tsp
  5. Tamarind Chutney – 2 tbsp (recipe here)
  6. Green Chutney – 2 tbsp (recipe here)
  7. Oil – for deep frying the potatoes
  8. Salt to taste

How to make Aloo Chaat:

  1. Heat oil in a kadai or a pan. Add potatoes
  2. Deep fry on medium flame till light golden brown
  3. Strain it on a kitchen paper towel to remove the excess oil
  4. Repeat if required for the remaining potatoes
  5. Take a mixing bowl. Add the fried potatoes
  6. Add green chutney, tamarind chutney, chat masala powder, lemon juice and salt. Mix well
  7. Your Aloo is ready. Garnish with coriander leaves and enjoy.
