Aloo Corn Tikki

Weekend means something different and tasty to try. This weekend I tried tikkis (you can even call it cutlets) with sweet corn and they came out very well. The combination of potatoes and sweet corn was stupendous. I am sure you’re going to enjoy this easy recipe.

Course: Starters or Snacks

Cuisine: Indian

Time: Preparation – 10 mins, Cooking – 20 mins, Total – 30 mins

Servings: 3-4


  1. Potato – 2 medium (boiled)
  2. Sweet Corn – 1 cup (boiled)
  3. Bread crumbs – 1/2 cup
  4. Coriander Leaves – 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
  5. Green Chilli – 1 (finely chopped)
  6. Black Pepper Powder – 1/2 tsp
  7. Oil – to shallow fry the tikkis
  8. Salt to taste

PS: 1 Cup = 250 ML

How to make Aloo Corn Tikki:

  1. Grind boiled sweet corns coarsely. Keep aside
  2. Take a bowl. Add potatoes. Mash them nicely
  3. Add sweet corn. Mix well
  4. Add bread crumbs, black pepper powder, salt, coriander leaves and green chillies. Mix to make a fine paste
  5. Take around 1 1/2 tbsp of paste and make a round flat tikki. Similarly make it from rest of the masala. Keep aside all the tikkis
  6. Heat a non-stick pan or tawa. Pour a few drops of oil
  7. Place the tikkis and cook on medium flame till they are golden brown (do not flip till it’s golden brown as it might break)
  8. Flip the tikki and cook in the similar way from the other side
  9. Your Aloo Corn Tikkis are ready
  10. Serve hot with Green Chutney and Onions. Enjoy!!!
