Black Chickpea Sliders

Black Chickpea Sliders are scrumptious and have the Indian touch, hope you enjoy them!!!

Tip: You can also deep fry or bake the patties, if desired

Servings: makes 6 sliders.

Ingredients:

  1. Slider Buns – 6
  2. Boiled Black Chickpeas – 1.5 cups
  3. Chopped Onions – 1/4 cup
  4. Ginger-Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
  5. Chopped Coriander Leaves – 1 tbsp
  6. Finely Chopped Green Chilli – 1
  7. Garam Masala Powder – 1 tsp
  8. Dry Mango Powder – 1/2 tsp
  9. Ground Oats or Bread Crumbs – 2 tbsp or as needed
  10. Tzatziki Sauce as needed, recipe here.
  11. Oil to pan fry the patties
  12. Butter to toast the buns
  13. Sliced Onions as needed
  14. Sliced Tomatoes as needed
  15. Salt to taste. 

PS: 1 Cup = 250 ML.

How to make Black Chickpea Sliders:

  1. Take a mixing bowl and add boiled black chickpeas. Mash them nicely
  2. Add onions, ground oats, green chilli, coriander leaves, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala powder, dry mango powder and salt. Mix well
  3. Now make round flat patties from the mix, same in diameter as the slider buns. Keep aside for 10 mins
  4. Heat a pan and spread some oil. Place the patties and cook from both the sides until crisp and brown, remove from the pan
  5. Spread some butter on the inner side of slider buns and on the same pan toast them until light golden 
  6. Take bottom of the slider bun, place a tomato slice, top it with the patty, spread some tzatziki sauce, add some sliced onions and lastly put top of the slider bun. Your Black Chickpea Sliders are ready.
