Kheer with Blueberry Compote

A delicious twist to the classic rice kheer!!! Previously, I have shared recipes of Malai Kulfi and Kesar Mousse with Berry Compote, so why not try compote with kheer as well. It turned out absolutely scrumptious.

Tips/Variations:

  • Blueberries can be replaced with any other berries
  • Follow recipe for compote here, ensure to double the quantity for this recipe
  • Let Kheer and Compote cool down before assembly.

Time: Preparation – 10 mins, Cooking – 1 hour 10 mins, Assembly – 10 mins, Total – 1 hours 30 mins.

Ingredients:

  1. Follow recipe for Rice Kheer here
  2. Follow recipe for Blueberry Compote here, ensure to double the quantity
  3. Some crushed almonds, cashew and pistachios for garnishing
  4. Some crushed rose petals for garnishing (optional).

How to make Kheer with Blueberry Compote:

  1. Take a dessert cup, make the first layer with compote, second layer with kheer, third layer again with compote, fourth layer again with kheer and finally sprinkle some crushed almonds, cashews, pistachios and rose petals 
  2. Your Kheer with Blueberry Compote dessert cups are ready, refrigerate for a few hours before serving and enjoy!!!
