Crispy Bites

Yet another combination of Potato and Paneer. The thing that makes it crispy is not the bread crumbs, it is Vermicelli!!! Hope you enjoy it. Quick recipe.

Cuisine: Indian

Time: Preparation – 10 mins, Cooking – 15 mins, Total – 25 mins

Servings: 3-4

Ingredients:

  1. Cottage Cheese (Paneer) – 1 cup (grated)
  2. Potato – 2 medium size (boiled)
  3. Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
  4. Green Chilli – 1 (finely chopped)
  5. Black Pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
  6. Chat Masala powder – 1 tsp
  7. All purpose flour – 1 tbsp (you can use wheat flour as well)
  8. Water – 1/3 cup
  9. Vermicelli – 2-3 tbsp
  10. Oil – to deep fry
  11. Salt to taste

PS: 1 Cup = 250 ML

How to make Crispy Bites:

  1. Take a mixing bowl. Add paneer and potato. Mix well
  2. Add coriander leaves, green chillies, black pepper powder, chat masala powder and salt. Mix well
  3. Make small cylindrical shaped cutlets out of the mix. Keep it aside
  4. Mix all-purpose flour and water in a bowl to make a smooth batter. Keep it aside
  5. Place vermicelli on a flat surface for the coating
  6. Heat oil in a pan or a kadai
  7. Now take a cutlet and dip it in the batter. With the help of a spoon gently cover all the sides by pouring the batter on it
  8. Now place it on the vermicelli and gently coat it
  9. Drop the cutlet in the oil and deep fry from all the sides
  10. Your Crispy Bites are ready
  11. Serve hot with Ketchup or Chutney.
