Paneer Bhurji

A very simple yet tasty dish of paneer or cottage cheese.

Time: Preparation – 5 mins, Cooking – 15 mins, Total – 20 mins

Servings: 2-3

Ingredients:

  1. Paneer (Cottage Cheese) – 200 grams (grated)
  2. Onion – 1 medium (finely chopped)
  3. Tomato – 1 medium (finely chopped)
  4. Green Chilli – 1 (finely chopped)
  5. Coriander Leaves – 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
  6. Cumin Seeds – 1/2 tsp
  7. Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  8. Red Chilli powder – 1/3 tsp
  9. Garam Masala powder – 1/3 tsp
  10. Turmeric powder – 1/3 tsp
  11. Olive oil – 2 tbsp (you can use any other oil as well)
  12. Salt to taste

How to make Paneer Bhurji:

  1. Heat oil in a pan or a kadai
  2. Add cumin seeds and let it splutter
  3. Add onions. Saute till golden brown
  4. Add tomatoes and spices – red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder
  5. Saute till oil starts to separate
  6. Add grated paneer and salt. Mix well
  7. Cook for 3-4 mins on medium flame
  8. Turn off the flame and add coriander leaves
  9. Your Paneer Bhurji is ready
  10. Serve hot with Phulka or Paratha.
