Paneer Bhurji

Paneer Bhurji is a simple yet delicious recipe,  prepared with Paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese). It is easiest of all paneer recipes. A quick-fix meal.

Servings: 2-3


  1. Paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese) – 200 grams (grated or crumbled)
  2. Onion – 1 medium (finely chopped)
  3. Tomato – 2 medium (finely chopped)
  4. Green Chilli – 2 (finely chopped)
  5. Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
  6. Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
  7. Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
  8. Garam Masala Powder – 1/2 tsp
  9. Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp (optional)
  10. Oil – 3-4 tbsp
  11. Coriander Leaves – for garnishing
  12. Salt to taste.

How to make Paneer Bhurji:

  1. Heat oil in a pan or a kadai. Add cumin seeds and let it splutter
  2. Add onions and green chillies. Saute till onions are golden brown
  3. Add tomatoes, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder. Cook till oil starts to separate
  4. Add paneer, garam masala powder and salt. Mix
  5. Cook for 3-4 mins on medium flame. Add chopped coriander leaves and mix
  6. Your Paneer Bhurji is ready. Serve hot with Phulka or Paratha.
